Best school the only reason people complain are because they don't take advantage of the resources at the school the school states this many times throughout the school year I'm tired of listening to how it's the teachers fault when it's the students if they don't use what they've got I believe this school has lots to offer and I good for anyone who wants to actually thrive in there major at the school

My son just finished his sophomore year, and we are more than pleased with this school. This is an opportunity for students to really learn with a hands on experience in the film production industry at a high school level. We began a search out of state and spoke with several school districts, but have not been able to find another high school like this. We have some friends and family members who graduated costly film schools and universities who now work in directing films and shooting commercials in L.A., N.Y., and Phila. who are amazed with the opportunity and experience these kids have been given through this high school! The staff is positive, happy, and more than willing to see our child succeed. We strongly feel Charter-Tech will help our son to achieve his future dreams and goals!

The school is excellent for those who love the arts. It allows students to express themselves in ways that they might not be able to, in a regular high school. Students gain experience in there craft, learn experienced professional who have extensive know in the feilds of study. Now, i do believe that the school need to be more selective about the students they admit, becuase there has been situaion where students with no intrest in the arts attend the school just as an alternative to their regular high school. And, where problems would usually arise from. But, in all the school is a very knowledgable and loving place, it like a big family. You can learn so much while there, it just depends on the amount of effort you put into your craft and your studies.

Its a decent small school for the performing arts. Its a great school if a student needs one on one. Because its really small. It has a great staff the principal isnt the best but, she tries. And extra curriculars it needs more but, overall its a good school if your child really does want to do something with their life when they get out of high school.

I believe that Charter Tech is a great school. I do not agree with the curriculum being weak. I believe it's the fact that some kids aren't trying their hardest. I believe that anyone who attends Charter Tech should be very thankful for being there because you get the opportunity to go to school and have an hour and a half of a major of your choosing. That's an hour and a half of doing something you love everyday. I do think there are too many students who don't realize this and should be sifted out. Slowly, but surely this school is coming together and becoming better everyday. Give it about three - four more years and it'll be one of the most amazing high schools around, you'll see.

I think the school is coming a long way in offering more rigorous academic course work. The school is heading toward being a good college bound alternative to the local high schools.

Does not offer a challenging academic curriculum, does not cover basic academic curriculum. Less and less students are passing state exams.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
