Stone Harbor Elem. School is our Hidden Gem in Cape May County. The students really benefit from the small class sizes. The teaching staff and administration has always been welcoming and friendly and care about the students and their education. SHES is a head above all other schools in the county with their Technology opportunities for the students. Because of the small size, there are many more opportunities for the students then in other schools. If you are looking for a better education alternative for your child, Stone Habor Elem. School is no doubt your best choice. We pay tuition for our child to attend SHES and we are extremly happy that we made the choice.

It is a shame that small schools like Stone Harbor cannot advertise their test scores, which are excellent (some of the best in the state). The small class size prohibits reporting the scores but allows for individualized instruction, which is far more important. I wouldn't trade my child's experience at Stone Harbor for anything. If you are looking for an educational partnership among, children, parents, teachers, and administrators, SHES is the 'family' to educate your child(ren).

Stone Harbor School is a very small K-8 school in Cape May County. The K-8 program provides an individualized approach for students to achieve a great education. The principal, teachers, staff work very hard to insure all the students are successful. The school is child centered, test scores are excellent. There are many opportunities for the students, due to the efforts of the staff & parents. The PTC (like a PTA) is very active. My two kids love going to school every day!

SHES is a small school. One would expect a warm fuzzy feeling in the school. Unfortuantely, it is not there. The plus side is the Kindergaten and 1st/2nd grade teachers. They are wonderful. The principal is not a typical elelmentary principal. He would be better in a middle school...warm and greeting, he is not. There are no buses or before or after school programs. There are no programs to offer specail help to students. Many parents are paying out of pocket for tutoring. When teachers only have 4-5 students per grade level, there should not be a need for extra out of school tutoring. SHES can do better.
