Tabernacle Elementary School

Some good teachers, some not so good. The principal is into the kids and is quite a cheerleader, but doesn't connect with parents nearly as well as she does with the students. Technology resources are pretty average. Small class sizes are great.

My son is currently in 1st grade. He has received outstanding help from the school with regards to help in reading and speech therapy. His kindergarten & 1st grade teachers have been extremely helpful, and genuinely caring. He had an incident with bullying in kindergarten and the school was right on top of it ...and made sure it never happened again. I can't say enough about this school, for my own child and as a former student!

The small class size allows for individual attention. The library, physical ed, art and music programs are outstanding. The long-time 3-day 4th grade camping trip and the PTA sponsored child care center, the PTA pre_Kindergarten orientation program and the ready accessibility of a kind, smart and gracious principal made for an excellent program for my daughter, now a high school senior graduating with an SAT score of 1510. I credit her experience in Tabernacle schools for much of that score. The Board of Education has long had a reputation for working very hard to respond to the needs of our students.
