Ief-Al-Ghazaly High School

I am a former Al-Ghazaly student, and while this school is not perfect, it is not as bad as people make it seem. I am proud to say that as a Bayonne High School senior, I am able to read, write, and speak Arabic fluently, unlike a great many students raised in public schools. When a non-Muslim approaches me, asking questions like why I wear the hijab or why I fast, I am able to deliver proper, Islamically correct explanation. Al-Ghazaly has also helped me strengthen my writing and reading. However, while the school has its many positive aspects, it also has its flaws. Al-Ghazaly needs to stress the fact that the Islamic clothes students wear make them representatives of the Muslim Ummah. When wearing a Military uniform, soldiers are forbidden from committing unfavorable acts; why should Islamic clothing be any different? Additionally, while the sex separation should continue to be enforced, it should be done in a moderate manner that won't incite students to rebel. Also, the school needs to disregard national origin--we're all Muslim, whether we are Palestinian, Egyptian, Pakistani, Syrian, Jordanian, etc. Other than that, Al-Ghazaly makes a fine Islamic environment.

I agree with the other parents. Haram and 3ibb for the uncleanliness and lack of organization for such an expensive school. They do not even offer the free pre-K1 program to Jersey City residents like Miftaah il Uloom and Rising Star Academy do in Union City. Haram. Al Ghazaly should be ahead of the game considering they are one of the oldest Islamic Schools in the country. I agree with the other parent Allah loves those who are clean and this is a bad example for our children and the nonMuslims who may visit the school. Haram 3leikom this is not from the Islam. Allah also loves those who do things to do them right. (organized and clean). May Allah give the school the means to make it a better opportunity for the Muslims in the area. May Allah guide those who need guidance. May Allah reward those with good intentions. Allah knows best. If I speak in error then it is from me. Allah yehdina.

This is the best Islamic Academy hands down. It produces the most kids that go off to Ivy league colleges. If a student does not make it into Ivy League, they normally get into Rutgers Newark & New Brunswick or NJIT with full scholarships. Their basketball teams are incredible for a non-athletic based school, both the boys team and the girls team. Their science olympiad, mock trial, and model UN teams always place in the top tier of their respective counties. I sent my children to this school and I am happy to say that I got a complete return on my investment. This is the only Islamic School in New Jersey that practices Islam correctly; they are moderate, not too crazy and not too lax. It is the perfect school for muslim children to have the complete high school experience while still staying true to their religion.

wallahe 7ram ..wallahe 3aib for an islamic school to be dirty like this ..they told me old building but what i found is dirty....dirty windows..doors ..floors..spider web on ceiling...adirty lawn..un orgnized..student in hallways confused where to go or whats next..why..what happen to 'inna allah natheefon yohebo al nathafah'..what happen to the islamic ways of dealing with things..what happen to representing islam to the world around us ...am i too much..did i expect too much from an islamic school..dont tell looks dosent matter...because clean matter ..orgnized matter..good roll model matter ..im so disappointed ....wallahe 7ram ..wallahe 3aib

The school principal is very unreasonable. Instead of focusing so much on the girl and boy separation, they should focus more on better education. A student's personal life is none of the school's business and outside of their jurisdiction. The principal is not objective at all. Horrible principal.

I love Alghazaly, it is a home away from home, It may not look the best but the teachers are great and so are the students. i happy to say that it is like a huge family in which everyone cares for each other and every family has ups and downs please believe when i say this school changed my life i used to be in public school and when i came here i made friends to keep and memories to cherish we have fun here at school and its the only reason i wake up every morning to come to school the education is great and also they are trying hard to fix it up i love this school and strongly believe you will love it to also later on it will definitely get you into a great school

As said by the previous post this school is amazing. This is the only high school I can say that the teachers actually care for the students. I have been to three different high schools and I must say this is definetely the best. I came from public school to this private school. The school is a great Islamic school and yes they do need some extracurricular activites. So the students should start one there is no one stopping them. The school encourages students to make clubs and helps with funding. My senior class is great many students going to Ivy League Schools, so dont try to make the education or teachers seem low.

The school is great. It offers a very intense cirriculum that really prepares students for the outside world.
