I have a child in kidergarden this year at Morgan and I must say that I am very unhappy with the principal. Ms Mcintyre seems to never be available for parents. Infact this was not even supposed to be our school and I asked for assistance for either before and after care or a bus to go to a sitter and she would not even meet with me instead she had her secretary tell me there was nothing she could do.

Morgan took a nosedive after Principal Alphonse left. This administration merely tolerates parent involvement and the academics are weak. There is no computer lab and very little foreign language instruction. Google NJ Report Card to get the facts...it's not good...esp. compared to neighboring University Heights Elem. not to mention W. Windsor or Robbinsville school districts. The 'magic' has gone.

My oldest child attended Morgan a few years back and it was a great experience, but now everything has changed. New Principal, new teachers and I don't think these are welcomed changes. The PTA is very large but it seems unorganized and only a select few really get to help the school in anyway. The new teachers seem to be in shock most of the time and not in control. The principal is very stern and direct which would be fine for older children but not at the elementary level. The academic programs have remained good, but the extracurricular activities could use a boost. I am considering a private school next year for my youngest child since Morgan no longer has the 'magic' it once had.

I have two kids in this school. The academics are great. One thing I like about the school is the principal. She is very principled and disciplined and very straight when it comes to dealing with parents. She is the type of adult with whom you can be sure your children will grow up with values. Sometimes she's hard on me when I am late picking my kids up but that is what gives me more confidence in her. The curriculum activities include music, sports and field trips - great! Everytime I attend PTA meetings, the hall is be over- filled with parents - they love the school.

There have been many changes this year, including a new principal. She is really not very visible to parents or children alike. This makes it hard for anyone to get to know her. The previous principal made it a point to know the kids by name. I have had the honor of working with a few of the new teachers and they appear to be knowledgable. It was time for some of the other teachers to retire as they were 'ready'. I do however feel sorry for the dissaray the new teachers must deal with in the principals office. Parental involvement with the PTA has dropped, I am not sure if it is the unwarm feeling of the principal or what the problem is.

Our families experience at Morgan was the same as many others I shared my feelings with. While some teachers were excellent, if you were not lucky enough to get that teacher, you were left to deal with a teacher wishing and waiting to retire or with little to no experience. There were no extracurricular activities except music. The parent involvement was very limited due mostly to a very tight group of PTA parents that wanted to do everything themselves. I found the community as a whole not tremendously welcoming and did switch schools for my child. The principal was awesome, but sadly he has retired - he was most certainly the best thing about the school.

I have three children here, and am very satisfied with the quality of academics, as well as their safety. Mr. Alphonse is a highly visible principal who knows each child, and the teachers care a lot. My children have become more responsible and organized, and they are developing their musical talents. This is an excellent school.
