The teachers hands are being tied with this new reading program. Our children will not learn anything now and the Superintendent will not even entertain data showing what a detriment this is to our school. Stop treating our district like an impoverished third world country!

The school is actually K-6 now and has a new name "Frog Pond Elementary". The teachers are the same as before with 1/2 of the teachers coming over from the George J. Mitchell school for the lower grades. We love the school district and the staff. The district offers many programs to encourage the students to excell. They have excellent before and aftercare and a Summer Camp program to assist families where both parents/guardians have to work. The teachers are wonderful! So friendly and caring. They are constantly striving to improve the level of education our children receive.

We are very please with Little Egg Harbor Schools, teachers and community. We have no complaints about Geoge J. Mitchell Elementary School. Our only issues with the Interm.School is that there is no playground equipment for our children. Also, school plays and clubs seem to be offered to the same kids year after year. Why not give other kids the same opportunities. We're hoping now that they've passed the new referendum, some changes will take place along with the renovations. Thank you.

We are the proud parents of a child with ADHD who spent many happy, healthy years in Little Egg Harbor schools. The Special Ed. programs they have in place are excellent and the support staff are just great. We moved to another state tweo years ago and have regretted leaving the district ever since. Despite some negative comments made to the 'new school' from our former LEHT school, we would return in a heartbeat, should the opportunity arrise. The large district felt like a small-town community and parents were not only welcomed to participate in their child's learning, but encouraged to do so. Our Child Study Team was phenomenal and we always left meetings feeling understood, our child cared about, and the family made part of the 'team', as it should be. We are currently, miserably, battling to keep our very bright and creative child in a less-than-mediocre public sch.

The curriculum is extremely weak; the teachers change every year. My 2 kids (my daughter is starting 6th grade in the fall) are 3 years apart and they have yet to have the same teacher. There are very few afterschool programs (unless you pay for aftercare), and that's just a paid for child care program. Administration hides from issues and doesn't respond. We need a new Superintendent. The current one only cares about rebuilding the physical buildings. Re-building the district starts within the school not the appearance from outside. Get teachers that will stay and boost the curriculum first!

It has been very frustrating trying to communicate on any level with this school, especially if you have a child with learning disabilities. I have found that the teachers and the superintendant have no knowledge nor the experience to understand the needs or the care of their students.

We had two students attend the Little Egg Harbor. They are much too big and students are lost and do not build any community. There are over 10 classes per grade and different children in the classes from grade to grade. There is no school athletic programs or teams and the school does not address the needs of the gifted student. If you want to provide your child with a better than average learning experience and to develop community and be academically challenged stay away from this school. The school is just too big.
