This school is located in a great area within Union City, however like most schools in that district, it suffers from overcrowding. Unfortunately the teachers are overwhelmed and cannot give too much individualized attention to their students. Another problem from the school is that most parents don't participate in school activities that are aimed at helping their children. Either the parents don't speak English or just don't care enough to partake in activities that would help the school better educate their children. This in turn creates situations where some kids fail their academic goals and in turn has a negative effect on school faculty and other students.
This is school is overcrowded, the teachers are overwhelmed. The only good thing about this school is the principalm but other than that this is a poor quality school. I am a former student as is most of the people in my family. I was so glad when my sister decided to transfer my niece to another school
I am very pleased with this school. my brother, sister and I use to attend this school we recently moved to North Bergen and the school system is very different,I find that the Union City district is better The schools in North Bergen dont even contain computers and the pincipals are much more friendly in Roosevelt Mr. Polinik was great with the students and the Teachers are great too especially 6,7,8 grade teachers and I like the fact they have alot of extracurricular activities like boys and girls basketball team, cheerleading squad, computer club, student council, yearbook commitee, peer meadiation...etc I also like that when its getting close to the end of the year the whole school has a field trip to Roosevelt Stadium and they have a field day I wish more schools in other areas were like this. Thanks for the consideration -Former Student
