Burnet Middle School

Burnet Middle School is an overall good school, and has its many benefits as well as its detriments. I find that this school helps a lot of youngsters like myself in areas of a subject that they need their most help in, which is great for students. The only problems I find are that this school's NJASK scores are very irksome and this school is not one of the most distinguished out of all other public schools located in New Jersey. The teachers are just ensuring for you to get a passing grade for the NJASK, which demonstrates that their main goal is for students to not get below proficient on this statewide test. Advanced students are just left off to fend on their own and try and make their marks distinguished among the average school's GPA's. Unless you're in Honors or G&T classes, it's pretty hard for a gifted student to bump up Burnet Middle School's overall rating as a 4 out of 10. I believe that teachers should help average, below average, and above average students all the same, instead of focusing just on one group of students. Other than that, the extra-curricular activities are actually stupendous, and give Burnet Middle School students a chance at being involved.

This was my sons first year in Middle School as well as in a new town as a 6th grader. Burnet is a great school, my son got the hang of middle school and the township of Union. Looking forward to seventh grade

Last year i went to Burnet and i thought it was okay. The teachers were nice but got mad whenever the class was really misbehaving.Being a good student, i never got detention before, but at my year at Burnet i got detention only in my English class. Other than that the new superintendent was nice and definitely helped Burnet a lot.

Im an 8th grader a Burnet and i think the school is great. Most of the teachers are really good and help when you need help. the school has gotten stricter because we have a new super attendent but i guess thats good in a way. the building can get a bit confusing on your first day just remember if somebody tells you to go to the 4th floor there isnt one lol. ohh and the lockers are realllyyy old!

I'm new to Burnet. And overall everyone is nice. The teachers are really helpful and don't rush you. They'll help you if you need help. I think Burnet is great!

This school is great. I currently go here and i think it's great. Im in drama club and i love the clubs they offer. They offer you extra help if you need it and they have homework alliance after school. They also have some sports programs and educational field trips for example, the liberty science center.

This School is awesume. my daughter goes here and she has been learning more then i have learned in Middle School. She is in Many extra-curricular activities and love them all. The Teachers and Principles are very good...and the kids are very well disciplined.

The quality of Burnet Middle School's academic programs is excellent. The core of Burnet, the 'Teachers' really care about the students and are not in it merely for the paycheck, thus, they are motivated. My son is academically challenged and also having fun. Sports and music programs are available. The PTA and Parent involvement is solid. The PTA members are emailed with pertinent school information, as well as useful general information, weekly. You'd be hard pressed to locate a weak link in Burnet Middle School.

this school is amazing and the children that go to it are very nice and understanding. the teachers are nice and helpful most of the time and you get extra help if you need it as long as you ask . the children have privacy because they have their oun lockers and they can put there things in their lockers they dont share it with anyone but yourself.

BMS is a great school. Some teachers should really think about making their classes more fun, although props to Mr. Disporto, he rocks! There are tons of after school activities sponsored by the school, including sports, art club, environmental clubs, language clubs and much more. I don't know what this school would be without the parents. The PTA makes fundraisers and with the money, they make sure our school year is as good as it gets. Parents help out at plays, picnics, field trips, and all other kinds of school planned activities.

Burnet is a great school...but truthfully most teachers are very well trained and the only thing the school lacks is disipline..which is not entirely the school's fault it has to do with the child's attitude toward learning too.
