Our family has been at Bradford for 5 years now, with 2 children currently enrolled. Our experience has been fantastic. We have been very happy with the teachers and administration, especially the principal, who does an excellent job running the school. Our children have had a great educational experience - teachers have tailored the learning program to their needs and abilities and have kept our kids engaged and happy. The school is one of the smaller ones in the district, and has a very tight knit, active community of families. If there is a downside, it is that due to the small size of the school, Bradford does not have as much variety in music, arts and language as the largest elementary schools in the district. But we are extremely happy with the sense of community at the school and feel lucky to have such a great resource available to our family.

Bradford school has blown me away with their caring attitude towards every single child. The principal is the best have ever come across and I'm a tough customer to please. I feel confident that I can raise any issue with either my child's teachers or the principal and it will be dealt with swiftly and appropriately. The education standards are very good also, right balance between striving for excellent standards and treating every child as an individual. Homework levels are just right - enough for them to work hard but not so much that it becomes stressful. Well done Bradford, we looked at ALOT of schools before choosing you and we are SO happy.

This is a truly wonderful school, and the staff and principal are fantastic. Whenever the slightest issue has arisen, they've been very responsive. Our daughter's kindergarten teacher is incredibly creative, and she's had a truly amazing experience.

We moved to Montclair at the beginning of the school year and were immediately welcomed by the parents and the children. I continue to be in impressed by the real sense of community found at this elementary school. I feel confident sending my daughter off to school each morning that she will be surrounded by caring teachers, staff and peers.

My son who has high functioning autism goes to Bradford. Bradford has super teachers who are dedicated to help children learn. The principal Mrs. Kirkman is very responsive and cares about children very much. She implements anti-bullying policy and communicates with parents to create an excellent learning environment for our children.

Bradford is an exceptional school. The new principal, Naomi Kirkman, is outstanding. She is a former teacher, a Weston Award winner, energetic, lively, thorough and she really cares. Our son is in kindergarten and his teacher is also outstanding - she goes well beyond the call of duty.

As the parent of two kindergarten students, we are very pleased with Bradford thus far. Even though the class sizes are big (24 and 26 students respectively), there are multiple teacher assistants and students from MSU. Parent involvement is excellent, and I'm impressed with the 'extras' - music, art, and tech lab each week, spanish, etc. I do feel that in Montclair public schools, there is a lot of attention on the problem students and those who really excel, the rest of our kids are in the middle and are pretty much treated that way, they are sort of lumped in with the larger group, that's just my feeling thus far.

We have two children at Bradford and our older son is in his 4th year there. He has had excellent teachers and a very good experience, and his younger brother is thriving at Bradford, too.

I have to say that our experience with the school has not been a positive one. We feel that there is a lack of communication. Our son has had several issues, however we did not find out about them until quite awhile after they have occurred. This was our first choice, however I have to say that we are unhappy and disappointed to say the least.

We're extremely happy with Bradford! One unique thing about the school is they have a large number of student teachers from Montclair State in their classrooms. For our son, this translated into a lot of personal attention, especially in math, where he excells (in comparison, he was at a different school last year and often complained of being bored). Also, the parents and other families we've met are lovely -- very warm and down to earth, and there is a lot of parental involvement. The new addition to the school, and especially the new library, is beautiful!

Bradford was our second choice of school but my husband and I are happy with our second choice. overall, The school has a great academic program. One of the second grade teacher Ms. Grubenman is an awsome teacher. She cares and she is concerned about the students well being. Great nurse, she is excellent with providing the students their medication on time. The school is also a great facility with some excellent fifth grade teachers Ms. Freeh and Mr. M.. They work together and provide extra assistance to the basic. I am impressed with the support service that my children receive from Bradford School. Antoine.
