I just graduated from this school and can say it was the worst deicision of my life. I cannot wait to attend college. It was a challenge going to school everyday, there was so much fighting between the girls when no one was around. I am totally surprised at my grades because I do not feel ready for college at all. My friends that graduated from two years before had to come home or shift to community colleges for their second years due to poor grades in college. No One seems to succeed. I thought this might happen because there is so much of a grade curve in most classes and not much content to the courses. Their is a sense of entitlement from most of the girls here and very little bonding except for necessity so they get good letters of recommendation. recent middle states accreditation was bogus and rehearsed.

I have been lucky to find such a great school for my daughter. This is unique place where faculty challenge her and truly care for her well-being and academics. These components are hard to find for a student, anywhere. The manner in which she has been guided and mentored over the last 3 years has reflected in her personal life and character. I am estactic that teachers are willing to go out of their way to help her out. It is a place like this that produces young ladies into great women. Do not listen to those picky and bitter parents/students because they do not get what they want. They do not realize that they pay for an education and more ( and not to get their way). I recommend Lacordaire for everybody! Great things happen at this school!

Teachers go out of their way to make sure every student gets personal attention and they work very hard to make sure each girl is as successful as she can be. There are so many other places where kids can fall through the cracks - Lacordaire is definately NOT one of them. The most important thing my daughter learned here was the importance of community service and how to stand up and take initiative.

Lacordaire is a great place that is safe and is truly a big family. The Academy offers a strong academic curriculim and a wide amount of activities in the arts and athletics. The Head of School/Principal is excellent and is always looking for new offerings and better ways to deliver the curriculum. We are very lucky to be at Lacordaire!

I went to this school from 05-09. I was present for the change in the principal. It was a terrible decision and he has ruined Lacordaire Academy. It used to be a safe haven for girls, but soon enough everyone began to dread it. He doesn't know how to react to female problems, or even relate to them. The faculty is horrible and I found myself personally teaching myself subject material.

This shcool was good for my daughter. No public scool would classify her. When we put here in Laco she got the special treatment she needed. Although they are not special ed trained they would do anything to help her succed, like more time on test and not having to do certain work and even a chance to re-d0 work or exams. We are not Catholic and that did not matter because the religion classses are not strict and other things are discussed in class. I can't say enough because my daughter would not have graduated high school if it wer not for Lacordaire.

I have been with the Lacordaire family for plenty of years and this school is fantastic. I cannot stress the appreciation and dedication each facultly and staff member plays at my child's second home. Their ability to take out their own time and help mentor, teach, tutor, coach or advice my daugther throughout the years has made me a life long fan of Lacordaire Academy. She looks forward going to school each day because of the uniqueness she gains each school day. Her perspective in life has developed into a positive, something she cannot have gained at a public school. There are countless of positive interactions I have had with the head of school and the faculty there. Go Lions!!!

Not much improvement since new principal came. He is from a military background and does not seem to understand the needs of an all female environment. Although regular meetings with parents group occur nothing ever really changes. Academics could be more challenging and many free's in schedule. Some do not take gym or health because not enough students to form another class. No transportation for players on teams. Driven by either students or parents. Not many college courses offered nor AP classes. Looked at the Mt St Dominic should have gone there instead since this school does not deliver what it promises.

Everyone has their own opinion. This school is terrific I'm very pleased with the teachers and Mr Morgan and also Mrs. Mazzari they do a wonderful job. A little ldiscipline doesn't hurt. Some people takle things the wrong way. Great school to all the staff and teachers keep up the great work that you do

I think Lacordaire secondary division has very good academics and a caring nurturing enviornment. The teachers for the most part really seem to care about the students as well as the administration. It does seem that there are some clicks among the students, and that can be frustrating for some that do not thrive in clicks. This goes on anywhere however, but perhaps more emphasis on inclusiveness toward all students could be implemented someway. I think myspace and texting have not been a good thing for our teens, they need to realize that what they post and send is for all to see, and can send a very negative image for them and their school. These are things all schools, and especially parents need to be aware of and address. To me though, Lacordaire is a productive and safe enviornment for our girls, much better than the public school system!
