Mr. Meyers is awesome. The teachers are fantastic. My life is great in Waldwick Middle School.
My granddaughters are attending there and I would love the school to win the Grant
Waldwick Middle School teaches completely around rubrics. The students are taught solely based on what is going to be on the NJ Ask at the end of the year. The homework is absolutely ridiculous. The 6th grade math & science teachers are the only high point in the entire school. We were so utterly disappointed with how the school was run, the curriculum, and the prison-like environment that we placed our child in private school. Students have 11 periods per day. There is no recess and 20 minutes for lunch. There is no reteaching of any concepts by the teaching staff. That is left completely up to the parents. The Waldwick School District has been an utter disappointment from the Superintendent all the way down to the teachers as a whole. There are some wonderful teachers who do care, but they are too few and far between.
