My child has been attending this school for the past three years. However, I have been extremely disapointed with the lack of work that is given to the students, compared to other students in other public schools, Franklin students are far behind. There is little homework provided and the adminstration gets angry when you dont agree to follow their no child left behind tactics. Children get pushed through even when they dont quite have the grades and understanding of their work. My child is leaving this summer.

The staff at Franklin is great however; I feel my child is not challenged with the curriculum at Franklin. I hear from parents we know who have children in the same grade who attend public schools in other districts. There children are working on curriculum that is more advanced in reading and mathematics. I have also attended parental open houses at private schools in the area and see how much more advanced the education being provided is. My child will be switching schools next September.

Franklin Township school is a great place for a child to grow. Both of my children attended from K - 6. They are totally different students, one learning disable the other a higher achiever. The teachers at Franklin enriched my higher achiever. My struggling child was able to be successful in his studies as well and graduated high school with honors. I found the administration, child study team and teachers to be excellent, kind, and caring.

I think Franklin is a solid school. The administration and staff are dedicated and responsive to parental involvement. I believe the choices made in the half day Kindergarten program have been carefully thought out and have the best interests of the children in mind (ie, recess when possible, gym, music, Spanish). However, I don't think the academic curriculum accounts for the high percentage of students attending preschool. The preschool program at this school is top-notch with the introduction of the Curiosity Cat curriculum. I do feel many resources are dedicated to Special Needs students and there should be more of a balance with providing extra, dedicated resources to those students who are working above their grade level. All in all, I think this is a school that tries to do the right thing, working within the ever tiresome budget constraints.

My child attended kindergarten at Franklin. I was extremely disappointed with the curriculum on so many different levels. The worksheets that came home had a copyright date on them from 1970. My child had attended pre-school at another school district. Needless to say kindergarten at Franklin was just a 'refresher' for what my child had previously learned. The material and some of the staff need to be seriously updated. Every year our taxes go up considerably. The majority of this to the school system. With the lack of capitol improvements it makes me wonder where the funds are going. It certainly isn't going towards preparing my child for a college bound education.

My child attended kindergarten at Franklin. Some of teachers need to retire and their 'bully' policy needs to be enforced.
