JFK is a great school! The entire staff(especially Mrs. Diana Llegnilli) and the principal Mr Erck are marvellous.
I am very pleased. Great school!!
I am very pleased with the education my child is receiving. The teachers as a whole are excellent and I am continually impressed when I walk through the halls.
You will not find a more dedicated, hard working group of teachers then the staff at JFK. They always have gone above and beyond for all of my children. I am so happy to be a member of the JFK family!
While there are some good teachers here, we found that the teachers seem to do as they please and treat parents like they are doing you a favor having your children for 6 hours a day. We found this to be true also at Wayne's GW Middle School. We moved out of Wayne for this reason and our kids have thrived in the new district. . At JFK School, we had two instances in which the teachers openly ridiculed the students. When they were called on it, they refused to address the matters.
My son is a new student to the school, and we absolutely love it. The principal, Mrs. Speid, the school nurse and all the teachers have been so helpful. We are very happy.
This new school year has been off to a great start. The PTO is much more welcoming and seems to have great plans. I was impressed to see teachers at JFK working so well with each other. The art progam has been greatly improved with a new teacher. I am very happy with the changes.
As the new school year approaches, I am looking forward to the new leadership in the PTO. They seem to have many great ideas and want very much to be inclusive. The work well together and with the principal. Our teachers are dedicated to their mission and have great compassion for their career choice and the children. The art and music is a bit lacking, but maybe we can effect a change. The cultural arts assembly programs enhances where art and music is lacking. Granted there are personalities that may not be the most pleasing, but you find that in most environments. We need to look passed those types of people and do what is best for our children. Get involved in your school.
The quality of academic programs in this school is good. We have a nice principal but maybe too nice, which leads some stuff members to believe that they run the school. A couple of teachers and stuff believe that they are better than other people and they make judgments based on that belief. Sometimes parents involvement is not your choice, many times you are not accepted in their circle. Most parents who have not been victims of prejudice in this school will rate this school as a great school.
This is a great school with excellent staff. Our principal is patient with the students and is fair. The PTO works hand in hand with school staff and because of this JFK won an award with a prize of $25,000! The extra programs the PTO provides are super and this core group of parents works tirelessly for the kids. While parking is a problem it seems that those who complain the most are the ones who do not follow parking lot rules set forth by the principal. Busses should be used more efficiently to cut down on cars in the lot. Overall this is a great school. You get out what you put into it. Parents that are involved with their child will reap the benefits of what JFK has to offer.
