This school is an amazing institution. It offers many opportunities for success to students who require more help with social awareness and academic achievement. The teachers are required to be licensed by state law and are all certified. Corporal punishment is not used, of course, that would be against the law and unethical. A mild behavioral approach is instituted to aid with issues that may arise. This school goes over and beyond the call of duty to educate and enforce social knowledge and values to all the students.
Clearview School is a state approved private school which employs only state certified professional staff. All staff members are trained in behavior modification techniques free of corporal punishment of any kind. Students are taught to make informed and thoughtful decisions keeping in mind that all decisions have positive or negative consequences. Students are never made responsible for enforcing school behavior. In our 31 years of existence, there has never been a complaint to any state child welfare agency of physical or verbal abuse.
Teachers are unlicensed because they dont have to be, discipline is generally enforced by the allowing and acceptance of older children to extract their own form of punishment while the teachers look away. School mainly deals with problem students of severe potential criminal nature, and of Mild retardation. Punishment is also administered by having the student sit in a chair in the hall while the other classes walk by and verbally humiliate him/her. Their is also strong evidence of corporal punishment, where students fingers are bent back, barred from bathroom use, pushed, and thrown to the ground by mail councilors.
