I cannot say enough positive things about the leadership, support & teachers at Mt. Pleasant. Schiavo's dedication is channeled to his faculty and the community. They listen, they respond. I am a very picky parent and former educator - FABULOUS SCHOOL!!!! West Orange gets a bad rap by those that do not understand the facts. The teachers are amazing, the principal is involved and passionate & the lovely ladies in the front are a pleasure. If your child happens to need special services - you are the most fortunate. This school is a win-win. Go Cougars!!!
This school has a diverse student body that is respectful and caring. Much I think is due to the respectful, caring leadership of the school's principal combined with a young energetic staff that are truly cooperative team players. There is a real sense of involvement and professionalism by the teachers and administrators of this school. While all schools have their rules and regulations, this school seems to adhere to a disciplined, but friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Even the school secretary is pleasant, bright eyed and cheery.
