Develops honesty: Strongly disagree

My son started kindergarten there last year. After his first two weeks the teacher had a conference with us about sending him back to preschool because he was "immature " During this time my son would come home feeling nervous, anxious, and sad about his teacher singling him out. He stayed up late and woke up early to try and "be like the other students ". I watched his confidence and self esteem plummet. I cried a lot during this time for him. We took him out of this school and put him in a our neighborhood public school and he just blossomed! ! He is reading and comprehending well. He gets speech services and his teacher has worked so well with him. I'm so proud! He will be going to the first grade with his neighborhood friends. He is excited about learning again (I'm actually tearing up as u type this). We went through a lot last September. I'm not saying this school is a bad choice, but understand and know your child. Don't let a teacher who likes to label and single out children tell you who and what your child is. This is what this school allowed a certain teacher to do. My son is intelligent, lovable, compassionate, loyal, and curious. I didn't want his awesome traits to be ruined by a teacher whose learning environment is not conducive for everyone's learning style. My son did better elsewhere.

Face it, most of the Catholic schools today are just barely surviving and have been the last resort for parents that do not want to have their kids in a bad school district. I remember when the Diocese came up with this "regional" school years ago during their Catholic school "improvement" campaign which basically lined the pockets of a consulting firm and did nothing to assist the schools that have been closed since then or the remaining few still open. In reality, they would rather have all the parishes become CCD centers and wash their hands of education as they can barely afford to keep most of their parishes running.

Lord of the Flies? Really? You sound more like a disgruntled parent who wants to get back at someone than anyone with an honest opinion. Guess what, there's bullies in every school so you'd better get use to it. The world is full of them. I know a lot of the parents and kids at our school and I've never heard a complaint like this before. The truth is, it's a very good school. The principal and teachers work very hard to educate today's children. That's no small task. Every school has it's problems and it's problem students. If your child is being bullied, make sure you listen to both sides. It's been my experience that there's always more to the story than just what my child tells me. The children at this school are some of the nicest and friendliest kids you'll ever meet. I've always liked the way the teachers and the principal have handled any problem. And there aren't many believe me! They are strict, like you said. Too bad the parents would rather back up their kid than believe he would do anything wrong. If you don't want to teach your kid how to get along with others maybe you should home school your child if they're that thin skinned.

Pope John Paul 2 Willingboro NJ......If your child did not start their education at this school, I. Would highly recommend that you consider the following: Your child is going to be bullied period! It literally is Lord Of The Flies, your kid better have an iron skin and a strong constitution to get through the total lack of accountability. They are strict as they should be but unfortunately, not when it comes to anti-bully behavior. It has become clear to us that this not so christian school is-more concerned about self preservation that it is decency General recommendation: Spend your hard earned heavily taxed money elsewhere, this is not a good fit if you are a true god fearing individual. Good news is no common core yet, this is why they get 2 stars versus zero, please also take this under advisement......

Have been a part of the school family since 2008 & I love the quality of education that my son receives & the peace of mind of knowing I don't need to worry about him because he's being treated fairly & is safe. Mrs. Zagola is a strong leader & the teachers are friendly & very helpful.

I am so glad my children go to this school. They have made great friends and enjoy going to school every day. I know they are getting the foundation needed for a successful future. Basically, they offer strong academics in a safe and friendly enviroment at a reasonable price. I can't ask for any more.

I like this school alot. My daughter looks forward in going to school everyday. The staff is wonderful and the children feel at home there. My daughter has improved a great deal in her academics and I am really pleased. The principal is approachable and she knows most of the children by their name. I think this is amazing.

As a parent I feel like my child is very safe and happy at the school. And I love the fact that there are uniforms and no confusion between what she is going to wear everyday. It is a Catholic school, and even though I am not Catholic, I feel like she is going to be happy and confident going to 6th grade, and being in a different enviorment and she will be glad that she is taken out of public school and that she will look forward to this coming school year.

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
