St. Elizabeth's is truly an amazing place. We are a new family to the school and everyone has been warm and welcoming. The children are loved but held to very high expectations. The school also provides academic rigor. We know our kids will be well prepared for high school and life. We are very happy with our decision to join the St. E's community.
Went there for five years and you couldn't find a closer more accepting community with teacher ready and willing to help. I'll love it there forever and wish I was back...
My daughter is attending PRE-Kindergarten at St Elizabeth's and she will be moving up to Kindergarten in September. I have to say that my daughter has never been so happy. This year has flown by because she has loved every day. The teachers are kind, caring and knowledgeable and the school itself is everything that I expect from a catholic school.
I will not send my children here. I attended their open house and was very impressed with their facilities, the principal seemed very professional, and a great 8th grader gave us a nice tour. Then, I came back in to tour the school while it was in session. Oh my, what a letdown. The office lady seemed disinterested in our presence. The vice principal, who agreed to walk us on the tour, dumped us when we arrived down the first hallway. She literally left when we walked into the 1st grade classroom, never to be seen again. From what I observed in the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes, the kids seemed antsy and unhappy. The teachers seemed rigid and cold. The kindergarten teacher, in particular, was just not that nice to the kids at all, and that was in front of me, a prospective parent! Some other teachers, 2nd grade and 5th grade, and Pre-K, were friendly, warm, and helpful. Overall, it's a shame because there are some red flags. By the way, we wandered through the hallways, sometimes making contact with the rude office lady, who seemed eager for us to leave. So, we did just that. No one even tried to stop us.
I enrolled my son in this school two years ago, and have to say that it was the worst experience a school could possibly give. My son never received the education that a catholic school is supposed to give. He 'blended in' with his classmates, not being giving the individual attention I had been promised. With the large amount of money I was paying, it would have been extremely smarter to have enrolled him in public school. There, he would have probably received more attention by the teachers! Overall, I do not recommend St. Elizabeth's to anyone who is looking for a serene Catholic education, because you are not going to get it here.
Children receive an excellent academic education with personal help along with learning the ethics and morals so needed in today's overloaded information society. It give children the right guidelines for making the life decisions as they grow.
