LSMS is on N. Flordia and it has really improved where it really counts and that is with the students. Yes the outside can use some work but the teachers and the students is what makes the school. Small class for more one on one. There are certain teachers that are willing to stay after school and help when needed. A great Principal with a big heart that trys to reach out to the kids and knows all of them by name. Yes the school can use more parents to help out and hopefully that be soon.

I have seen this school from the outside looking in. It is a charter school, but still technically part of the public school district. From my observations, parent involvement is seriously lacking in this school. I have done what I can to help out with odd jobs around the school, but it continues to baffle me that the parents do not get more involved to enhance the overall school experience their children get. This school moved to a new location, and there are 7 portable buildings which house all the classrooms. They need about $10,000 to dress the place up and make it more presentable, but the classes are small and provide for a better learning experience for the kids. The principal is also new this year, and has good ideas to make the school better.
