There are some teachers that fall below average but there are far more that are excellent teachers. My son went through the gifted program and was very happy there. I would recommend this school to others. Linda, the secretary/attendance employee did an outstanding job while my child attended EMS.

Small for the number of students but has well trained staff but the one thing that my child could use is more passing period time and and a class that revolves around teaching students to learn to type.

Small for the number of students but has a great staff except a couple that is impatient but what I think is what we should use is a longer passing period and a class that revolves around teaching students to learn how to type and also a study hall period and I think this school has had some mistakes but I dont regret going to school here.

This school does not meet my child's needs as a person with Epilepsy. The respect level for parents and students is very low and I also do not like this school because they do not let me know anything about my child. They are very rude here and my daughter cannot wait for highschool..I would never reccomend this school to anyone.

This school is poorly managed as well as the district it belongs to. They do not afford the children the chance to excel in sports as well as academics. They don't even have lockers. My child has straight A's and is very active in sports. By the way, parent involvement is not promoted. They send zero notes home.

If I could do it all over again, I would not choose Edgewood Middle School for my kids to attend. The overall quality of the teaching staff leaves much to be desired, they do not challenge my gifted child, nor are they helpful in any way. I had two sons go through the school and have withdrawn my youngest. I sincerely regret having moved to this area, and since I researched the albuquerque area schools on the net, I am therefore providing my insight into this particular school, in hopes of saving some other unsuspecting souls much pain and frustration. I am home-schooling my youngest son until we can relocate him to another school.
