This is a very good school. I'm having a great High School experience and I've only been here for only a month! :)

Poor administrative leadership (at the building and district level) has resulted in a continuing lack of academic growth at Newcomb. The all too frequent change in the building administration and the imposition of a 'one policy fits all' approach by the district office results in a school that coasts along on day to day routine momentum, not inspired academic motivation. The goals of CCI (continuous classroom improvment) are theoretical and do not meet the real problems of low student attendance and apathy.
