My children are currently attending there and are very behind. They will still be passed onto the next level. There is no accountability. This school does not prepare the kids for real life consequences.
Our daughter attended this school and completed 6-7-8 grade in two years. She is currently 14 and a sophomore in college on the Deans List majoring in BioChemistry with a minor in Criminal Justice. Thank-you Rio Rancho for having 'Cyber' as an option-from a grateful parent.
I love this school. No longer does my daughter have to be held back because of slower students!!! This school allows her to work at her pace. she got out 1 week early for winter break and a whole month early for summer. There math test score was double the state average. Wish they offered more in extra-curricular activities but that is the only draw back that I have seen.
Excellent school for kids that are mature and discipled and don't fit in the normal school mode. 1.5 days of class per week so there is some social interaction. Teachers and staff very attentive. Took a bit of convincing to get my son in mid-year. Adaptable schedule worked well for us so that we could do some mid-week skiing. Student can work at his own pace. My son finished 6th grade curriculum in late April and finished 1st semeter 7th grade math. Rio Rancho should expand and encourage this school as is it is more efficient on resources. One drawback - no sports.
Excellent alternative for students who don't want or need a traditional school setting. None of the typical craziness of the typical school setting here. Relaxed atmosphere and lots of one on one attention when needed. Kids can and do finish their classes well ahead of students in other school.
