We have been at Santo Nino for 5 years now and are very happy. As a middle class family, sending 2 kids to private school means sacrifices, but it's well worth it. We love that the teachers and other staff members genuinely care about our children. Our oldest is in the 3rd grade and reads at a 6th grade level and has a 5th grade math level. Our youngest is just starting out, but is certainly following in her sister's footsteps. They love going to school everyday and coming home to teach us what they learned. One of the best things about Santo Nino is that they get to learn about our faith every day! We love this school!

Handles bullying effectively: Agree

I don't think this is an issue that can be 100% avoidable. I have heard of a few minor situations here and there from my kids but also feel that the way these situations were handled are acceptable. When discussing a particular situation with my oldest regarding a repeat offender, my comment was to the extent of, "they should just kick this student out." My oldest..."How would that solve the problem? As good Christians, we don't give up on people. We help them understand that they should treat others with kindness. Besides, 'said student' is doing a lot better" Me... Proudly humbled

Supports LD students: Strongly agree

In reading, for example, each grade has a teacher that teaches different levels. By doing this, they are able to give special attention to those who need a little extra help to reach the level they should be at while allowing others who need to be challenged the opportunity to continue to grow.

Effective school leaders: Strongly agree

It has been our experience that the administrative team is very fair. Being in a leadership position can't be an easy role to play, but we believe they are doing a great job and make the best decisions for the students and community as a whole.

Develops character: Strongly agree

Just about every time we walk into the school we witness the students holding doors and using good manners. What's more, is that we also see them continue these behaviors outside the school as well.

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly agree

The teachers always answer emails in a timely manner and send weekly newsletters to the parents so we know what our kids are working on that week in every subject. They also instill confidence, and good morals and values in our kids. They teach them responsibility and hold them accountable for their actions. Basically, doing for our kids what we do here at home. It's great that we can trust that our kids are in good hands.

Amount of homework: Agree

They utilize the IXL computer program which helps the kids practice their learned skills. It is fun for them because every time they master a section they earn a prize (in the program)

My son attended 8 years at Santo Nino Regional Catholic school and was so ready to attend St. Mikes. He is in advanced courses, has made straight A's (high honors) for 2 years, gotten nominated for National Jr. Honor Society, made Principal's list, and is involved and growing in the sports he plays. I attribute this all to Santo Nino teachers and staff. Thank you!.

Grateful to: School leader

See the students on a daily basis interacting with each. They have empathy, and respect for one another.
