MVMS has caring staff, amazing programs, and great kids. We are working on putting systems and programs in place to guarantee success for all students. This year was good, next year should be awesome!

MVMS isn't the best school out there, I understand this. However, the reason for this is because the school board seems to not care who they send to be Principal for that school. They also don't seem to care who the teachers are. There are however a few very good teachers at that school. And while this may not seem to be enough for most people, anyone who has gone to that school will understand the full effect of it. I myself am a former student, and I am also attending Valencia and I am glad that MVMS has sent those who are not interested in school to LLHS. Also, if you don't go looking for trouble, you ususally won't find it. And should there be anything dangerous going on, the students will tell someone. If it endangers us, we will do our best to get rid of it.

The school is nowhere as bad as people willl tell you. Being a former student. Your child doesn't have to worry about gangs. You show them respect? You get it right back. If kids learned to not run their mouths and respect others. They should have no trouble at all at MVMs. People tend to stretch out words. Being honest going to both MVMs and LLMS. MVMs has less gangs and less trouble. Sure there may be knives and marijuana brought to school. EVERY school has it. I went to there (Now going to Valencia) for two years. Never got suspended, in a fight, shot, stabbed, beaten, None of that. People look down on it because of the area and the mexican population.

This is my daughters first year at MVMS. She hates it. The teachers are almost horrible. She would tell me that she wants to switch classes. There has been so many fights, it's unbelievable. They are now putting up cameras, but I don't think that it will help at all. There is also other students who don't like her and give her dirty looks and call her horrible names. The vice-principal is also horrible, she is rude to all the students and is just plain mean. I don't think that I will be sending her here to MVMS next year.

We just moved here from the chicago area 2 weeks ago. My daughter has already had her purse stolen, she has been called everything but her name. The vice principle has turned a blind eye to the entire situation and tells my daughter that its not really happening. The busses are horrible, I am really afraid for her at this point. The entire area (los lunas) is just run down and no one takes care of anything, and I guess they do the same in the school. We will be out of here the first chance we get!! I thought that coming to a small town would be better.. I think we should go back to chicago.. its safer.
