I have three children of which one remains in 234. My second one just graduated from there. We are lucky to be zoned for this school. The school is well run. From the principal to the office people to security to the teachers, everyone is always trying to help the children in every way possible. There are always special family nights and the staff volunteers. The kids are given a lot of practice so they can do good on their tests. Teachers work hard to get their students to do better. The administration is always buying the newest things for the teachers to teach and for the kids to work with. Thank you 234 for helping my children so much.

Great school, amazing building, very nice teachers and staff. The parent coordinator is helpful and organized. The Counselor is one of a kind person, really caring, really sweet and dedicated to the children she sees. There is a sense of "home" inside the school, where everyone feels as if they are really a part of a family. I would suggest that the parents work deeper in getting themselves more involved with the school. There is always room for improvement, but i am happy that my child has had these people in her life, after having such a hard time with violent behavior in another school. At PS 234 violence is not accepted at all.

Ps 234 is trully excellent! starting with their leadership. The principal and Asst. Principals are very professional and care first and foremost about the students and their teachers. Scores go up every year because of these professionals. Mayor Bloomberg has nothing to do with that. Keep It Up 234 you're awesome!!!!!

When my son attended PS234 it was the best thing for him. It is an amazing school, amazing Teachers , Mrs. Fauerstein is the best Asst. Principal ever. I have never seen such a wonderful group of people who care so much and treat all of the children as if they were there own. They worked with me all the time no matter what and that was very important to me... It is such a great feeling to know that your child will suceed, get the best education and have a great school year and have fun at the same time. For the first time in 9 years my son Loves school and cant stop saying how much he misses school. Thank you all for the best school year , keep up the great work and we miss you very much! =)

P.S. 234Q is a home that houses over 700 children per day. In the four years since we have been opened our doors, not only have our test scores risen to new heights, but so have our administrators. Having left another school in the district to join the staff at P.S. 234Q, I am honored and lucky to be part of this family. Mrs. Pallos along with her three assistant prinicipals make it their business to love and care for every one of their students as well as their staff. I have become a better teacher, through the guidance of these four amazing women. Our job is to make sure that our students learn and we go above and beyond our call of duty. Mrs. Pallos you are an amazing leader who helps guide those around you, I am truly grateful to be part of this amazing school.

Bravo P.S.234 for its achievements in four short years! It is to be commended for its concern for the children, their parents and the community. there is an administration and faculty of new and seasoned personnel who, through their interactions and cooperation, work together for the benefit of all children. The academic and artistic programs instituted by the administration as well as complyhing to the Dept. of Ed. regulations, seek to and do address the numerous needs of all students.

The Principal is a devoted caring professional. The children always come first. I have witnessed Mrs. Pallos s compassion and genuine concern for the children. I have seen Mrs. Pallos console a crying child, calm a troubled child, and ease parents concerns. To the staff her guidance and instruction is right on the mark.
My child goes to this school and I have complete confidence in the current leadership. The environment explicits good discipline and tight controls. Teachers are hardworking and very interactive. Although I am an immirant as well but I never had any issues . As far my feedback is concerned, I foresee my child's bright tomorrow in the prevailing setup.

This is a fairly new school and parents might get the impression that this is a good school. My experience with staff and teachers has been very interesting. The teachers are fairly young and are manipulated, they would not make a move until administration says so, so the teachers are not on the side of the students in anyway. The principal has a handful of staff that acts like her sidekicks. Their attitude is not appropriate for a school environment. Diversity is not welcomed in this school. However, the reality is that there exists a large population of immigrants in this school and language at times might be a problem, this school does not in anyway work with these parents. This school is springs to action very quickly in an attempt to label certain children. And they are adamant about it. There is plenty of talking down to students and parents alike. This is a small school and has a lot of potential to be a great school but with a different principal and staff. This school is in desperate need of a principal who has an open mind and posse s people skills and most importantly a heart for the well being of the students.

My son completed pre-k at PS 234 last June and his transition to kindergarten was very smooth. He is sounding out words, learning to write, adding numbers and being creative. The homeworks are short, fun and consistent as they should be at this grade. Each day of the week rotates through at least one additional class of music, computers, library, art or gym. He loves his teacher and looks forward to school in the morning. PS 234 offers many workshops to parents to help themselves and their children. There is an impressive mix of ethnic backgrounds & nationalities enrolled, and an even more impressive effort by the staff to open lines of communication with parents. PS 234 is providing my children with a solid educational foundation, more so if I stay involved. Good luck & RELAX...if you are researching here, then you care, & they will be ok.

My son is in Kindergarten, and I really am impressed with how much he has learned. The arts are stressed, and the academic standards are high.

Very unimpressed. The leadership is poor and there were several violent discipline problems.
