The education and environment itself is good, but this school has gone really downhill here. Certain teams are over-crammed with homework that they do not have personal time for their families, while other get little to none. And there are bullies in this school, and I was bullied here. It was the worst year of my life, and I mean it.

This school definately strives for successful students! It is a great environment and has amazing teachers! The extracurricular activities such as sports is fantastic, with great coaching. The field trips are always succesful and the eighth grade gets a trip out of state! Beautiful school with caring teachers, you will not go wrong by sending a child here. The reputation is completely wrong, it's a school to be remembered as a success.

The academic progress is in a positive slant. The extracurricular activities are great, but the level of parent involvement needs to increase. The principle is affecting the whole school atmosphere positively.

I know the school has had a bad reputation in the past. I must admit that I was a little leary about sending my child here. However, I have found this to be a wonderful school and any parent should be proud to send thier child to West Middle. The teachers are fantastic! The school is well organized and constantly finding ways to keep the students learning interest high. As a parent I give this school an A plus!
