I moved my 3 children to the district this school year. I have had nothing but a great experience thus far. My older child struggles a bit with some of the work, but with the leadership of Mrs. Kemler and my child's wonderful teacher, they continue to make my child feel special and confident in being the best student possible. I disagree with the previous comment regarding parents having the ability to dictate "list", I have only experienced the opposite. Mrs. Kemler is a terrific addition to the school. She facilitates fun, entertaining, but educationally based programs and activities. It's nice to see the children be in an environment with a strong curriculum, and still be able to be kids. I highly recommend the school to anyone who wants their child to be an important individual and not just a number.

My daughter is a student here and she has a wonderful teacher, but the overall environment is not one that I'm terribly comfortable with. Prior to coming in I was warned about the 'cliques' at this school and unfortunately it's proved to be true. Parents are allowed to submit 'lists' for this and that (from after school activities & sports teams, to which kids they want their child placed with in class). I am hoping to move my child to another school next year.

I have two children one just finished 1st grade and 1 just finished 2nd grade. I can't say enough good things about the school and the teachers. My kids and i are very happy with the teachers and the whole school itself.

The teaching staff is helpful and very caring to the kids. However, the district themselves need to take into account working parents. Most programs (for children and parents) are held during the daytime hours which make it almost impossible to get involved if you work.

It's okay. Socially, it's a very good school, flexible, caring, etc. But it could use a little more structure academically. Having the kids work a little wouldn't kill them, even if it meant they got bored (God forbid!).

I can't say enough wonderful things about this school. The principal is a caring, involved leader with a very special team of highly qualified and caring teachers. Together they involve the entire parent community. The programs are fabulous and the building is gorgeous and the children are happy.

Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
