I was told that B'ville was a great district if your child did not have any special needs. I have found this to be true. Because a child may have special needs in one area, does not mean they do not excel in other areas. In fact I think this is true for any child. The attitude is more of what we can't do than what we can do. It is no wonder that the school rating is so low. So often, I hear it is for budgeting reasons, yet I know there is so much that can be done that is 'for free' or little cost if they truly looked at things as a partnership, instead of thinking parents are trying to get something for free. I would like to say, the teachers are great but their hands are tied by those in administrative roles.

Fantastic school with great teachers, staff and a lot of parent involvement .

Not much good to say. The principal can be rude to parents, and doesn't listen to the concerns. Our daughter's teacher wouldn't communicate with us. I would not recommend this school, and am thinking of taking our child out. It is frustrating to try to communciate with just about anyone at the school.

Both my children have gone to this school. The school encourages parent participation and sponsors many events for the students and their families. Their teaching is very substantial. In addition, the teachers are always willing to cut into their own time to help a struggling student. They want everyone to succeed!
