We checked it out and it seemed ok but will give 3 stars because they seem to missing the mark about Christian education in the fact that they are preparing students after their 5th grade level to go on to the public school system.
Our children have attened Wolca for three years now. We are so impressed with Wolca's high academic standards and their super dedicated teachers. Wolca has a great laid back atmosphere. It is like a second home to our children.
WOLCA has been an amazing place to enjoy school each day. As a teacher who has taught in the public setting, this atmosphere is a great, loving place that you feel good about sending your kids to. My daughter has truly flourished this year: academically, spiritually. She is a great kid with a wonderful "school family" that supports her.
Our family loves this school. Loving staff! Christ-centered all the way! My children are greeted every morning with a hug or a high-five and it just makes their day! I never have to "convince" them to go to school, they just love it. Each of my children are growing academically and spiritually. I couldn't say enough!!
Wonderful school!! Have three chidren who attend here and we couldn't be more pleased!! Love the teachers and staff! They strive for acadmic excellence and also encourage our children in their daily relationship with God!!
My two children are in their second year at WOLCA and we have had a very positive experience with the staff and administration. As an educator myself, I find that I have high expectations for my own children's education and I am pleased with what WOLCA has to offer. The small classes, certified teachers, and starting each day with worship and Bible provide a great atmosphere for a quality education. I am especially pleased with the music and art depts, as well as the Spanish classes. I find that if a parent makes an effort to volunteer their time, they are made to feel very welcome and appreciated.
I love our school. Our kids have had an excellent experience. What loving and caring teachers the school has. The educational and spriritual foundation that the teachers and staff are putting into my kids is such a blessing. While the responsibility is mine, I'm blessed that WOLCA is supporting me in those areas. I've been very pleased with the level of education the kids are getting. I have a K, 2nd, and 3rd grader.
We found a different school that has a higher academic focus, Bible instruction that is seeped in the history and fundamental basics of the God's word and applying them to life, and clear vision and growth,
We've heard amazing things about the school from friends for a while and now we've got our three year old enrolled. The student to teacher ratio is great and the curriculum is excellent! Out child is already learning so much and is advancing quickly with social skills. Can't say enough good about the new principal either, amazing school and staff!!
Trying to decide if we should return, we found it hard "fitting in" because we don't attend the church there. We found their dozens of large changes a little difficult to swallow when there were lots of little details that kept falling through the cracks. We do love the teachers we've been in contact with and really support Christian education.
