The music program is extensive, but the music teacher is an unimaginative bully who acquires most of his work on the web and plays favorites. While the school deals with discipline, it does not inspire or believe in its students. The bullying program is also short sighted and contains incorrect information. In general, the school could reach for a lot more than it does. That said, it is trying to meet standards and provide programs at a time when schools have been bankrupted.
John Kennedy is a wonderful Elementary school. My son is doing great and the teachers are so involved with the learning process and really enjoy their jobs. The principal is also fantastic. He is there all the time and actually took the time to take my husband, son and myself around to meet everyone since we relocated from another state and started later than the rest of the children. I give this school the rating of a 10 if that is the highest I can go. Thank you John Kennedy!!!!
My husband, who grew up in Batavia, and a majority of his first and second generation relatives, have attended John Kennedy Elementary School. They all hold the school in high esteem. I have heard nothing but praise and admiration for the school, its staff and the curriculum. Currently his great niece is enrolled.
