St. Patrick's is a nightmare. Having a school say face it some children are just "C" students when a child has a learning disability is not something parents should ever hear. The school only cares about their appearance to new families and those entitled families who rule the school. Be careful new parents to really look at this school and if you send your children here do not let anything slide. The school needs a wake up call.

I am not sure what the previous parent is referring to, but I have had nothing but a good experience at St. Patrick School. The extra help offered by the caring teachers each morning has been a tremendous help to my children. As far as aftercare, I do not take advantage of it, but think it is a wonderful gift from the school to working parents. I don't know of any other school that offers this service to their parents in need. I don't pay any additional costs as referred to, and fundraising is always optional, unlike other schools. I can only say, I am happy with my choice of St. Patrick School for my children.

Great school! Technology is always being updated in every classroom. Teachers are caring, supportive and encouraging. Administration and staff are leading the school in a positive direction.

The last couple of reviews are obviously from parents of younger children. They do not know what they are in for. Younger grades are enjoyable so hold onto to those memories. These parents I am sure have not had to deal with bullying and the fact that the administration acts like ostriches and stick their head in the sand. The 7th and 8th grade in particular is a free for all for bullies especially if they are considered more important by the administration meaning they throw money at problems. The school does not do anything to protect the students who are bullied. The teachers are ineffective with discipline and as far as extra help in one case you are lucky if the teacher shows up for extra help and is always late. This is part of the reason parents start pulling them out to go to Kellenberg in 6th grade. The upper grades are not worth your money to send your child to this school and will leave you sorry that you sent them there.

Just to keep the facts straight extra help should always be free or the teachers are not doing their job (like some who show up late and don't teach during class just play on the computer). As far as enrollment improving it is not the good news spreading it is the unfortunate state of Catholic schools being closed which increased the enrollment, something which will change for the next year especially since bullying is not something the principal will ever deal with. As far as aftercare I agree they should have it for free with the amount of tuition, fundraising and extra curricular costs everyone pays each year. Be careful if you are looking for a catholic school - this administration is not there for the good of the students.

The aftercare is FREE because the tuition is so high. People who do not use it are paying for those who do. The tuition at this school is very high. The school takes everyone is and then encourages them to leave when the children are not performing.

St. Patrick School has been a blessing for my daughter. The dedicated teachers offer extra help free of charge. The principal instituted a free after-care program which helped me tremendously. The class sizes have increased over the last two years due to the good news spreading!!

This school has an ineffective administration. There is no open door policy to discuss a problem. In fact problems are swept under the rug. They are concerned with the enrollment and school testing grades. Bullying is a problem in this school in the older grades and there are little to no consequences for the students who bully. If anything the bullied parties are afraid to step up because it will get worse for them.

I wrote a glowing review for St. Pat's on May 28, 2008, when my daughter was finishing 3rd Grade. Well, 3 children later, that same daughter is graduating 8th Grade in June. I must say St. Pat's is great for grades N-6th Grade, my other two love it. But 7th and 8th Grade are HORRIBLE. The students do not feel comfortable approaching the teachers for assistance as the teachers have terrible attitudes. There is not enough supervision, as some children are being bullied and the prinicipal is not addressing the matter. While my daughter is doing well, it is not a great atmosphere for children in the 7th and 8th Grade. I also strongly agree with the parent post of May 20, 2011.

The principal is relatively new to the school. Her hands are tied by the strong arm of the business manager. What is fiscally better rather than what is better for the education of your child. Very prominent PTA and not in a good way. They handpick who they want "in" and discard anyone who they deem inconsequential, and they are not shy about letting you know it. The principal better learn she has a problem there in that little group of elites. WWJD. Look elsewhere.

I am happy with St. Pat's. It does have a rich history in the Bayshore community and the values of the parents and teachers are apparent. The principal does the best she can to keep it affordable and the fundraisers are a joy, different shows, plays where the kids are involved. The focus on religion and values is a super plus. There appears to be a great deal of hearts in the right places. That Aug. 2, 2010 post is far from the truth.

This is a wonderful school with a rich history of excellent educators and Catholic living dynamics. My family has been going for 4 generations
This school is awful. I've seen lots of schools and this is the worst. Don't send your kids there. The teachers are underqualified, the curriculum is outdated, and the standardized test scores will support what Im saying if you could ever get them to release the info.
We have had a wonderful experience at St. Patrick School! We have a daughter in 2nd grade a son in 4th grade. Both are really triving. They love going to school and are doing very well academically. Both have scored in the high nineties -97 -99%- percentile on the standardized state tests. They are offered a challenging curriculum and the teachers provide great indivdual attention They also particpate in after school clubs and sports at the school. We are happy that along with learning about values and religion on a daily basis they are getting an excellent education and a disciplined approach to learning.

My daughter just finished Kindergarten, and she loves the school. There is a real sense of 'family' and 'values' that is evident.

St. Patrick School has been a wonderful experience for my three children. The staff is dedicated to excellent standards of education as well as imparting a strong sense of values and Catholic beliefs.
