I have two children in this school and so far I am very happy. It is an academically strong school with devoted teachers. Principal Scott is easy to talk to and committed to excellence. The only downside is that there is not a continuous art and music program.
PS 205 is one of the top schools in New York City and in District 26! Teachers are caring and do a wonderful job! Administration is also excellent! PS 205 aides are exceptional. Parents are very supportive! I am thankful for having such a wonderful group of children to teach in such a wonderful environment. The entire PS 205 community is terrific! It a pleasure to work at this school!
I am deeply disappointed with this school. Bad leadership, lack of organization and professionalism, virtually no academic programs for the students. It's a small school with no funding. Long gone are the days of PS 205 excellence. Very few parents are satisfied with the school performance.
This is one of the best schools in Queens . The Principal is very easy to work with . The teachers have deication that I haven't seen in a long time . Life is good at 205 !
Happy to say that I am a proud alumni of PS 205 who has 2 sons now attending. The school is as great as ever. They have fewer classes and smaller class sizes than when I was a student.
New principal doing great job. Don't miss old principal at all.
PS 205 is such a great school that the only negative is that it doesn't continue beyond 5th Grade. Other schools should model themselves after PS 205 PTA, Parent, and Administration involvement. The children are the winners when you have a small united organized community working on their best interest. I am sadden to have to say goodbye to the school this year but I would recommend it to any parent who is looking for a versatile, top notched educational quality experience for their children.
PS 205 is a small community school. Principal, Parent Coordinator and staff are wonderful. They are all responsive, warm and friendly. School is well organized. PTA is strong, organized and united. School provides great workshops for parent. This is great school to send your kids.
Wonderful principal, great staff! Overall, a positive educational experience!
