I have one child that is doing well mostly because she is a perfectionist, my other needs more help and does not get it unless I stay on top of them I agree that they only show extra support around ela time, i feel like my child is slipping through the cracks! Where is the no child left behind act? Is it that they do not leave children back act? They seem to let the children go ahead even though they are a grade behind.

I have to say this school is a little bit off. SOME of the teachers are fantastic and some are not just like in any school. I have 2 children, one in need of special services and one that is gifted. They have these classes backwards- the accelerated students have about 10 children in a class while the inclusion classes are at anywhere from 19-23. And the extra support is only around the state testing times. Doesn't seem right to me to be so concerned with how well the schools rank based on kids academic levels around these state tests and not based on their everyday learning skills in each individual class.

We have had a very positive experience at this school. My son made tremendous progress as a result of the excellent teachers. They have motivated him and boosted his self esteem. The school staff is very professional and they encourage parental involvement. The only negative to the district is that there are no after school extra curricular activities for the students.
