Great schools! Never had a problem with teachers, staff etc. Lunch program is not great but what distrct is? Now as taxes goes who doesn't pay too much for school taxes. I especially love all the parent involement if you have the time to do it. Now for after school activities they offer before and after care, but no sports most schools don't.

The lunch program is horrible all fried and very high fat/calorie foods. Yes there are salads and fruit cups but that's it. Overall I am not happy with this district in the least. I think I may move because of it! Most of the parent involvement revolves around the class parents.

I moved to Bellmore just last year but I have to say, I loved this School. The teachers are great. The Principal is very involved. Great programs. Nothing but great things to say about this School so far.

After two years of bad leadership, the school is finally back on track. The new principal is very involved and has created a better atmosphere for the students. Having had two children go through this school, I would say that overall I am happy. Like anywhere else, there are good teachers and not so good- we have had both. Unfortunately, due to bad leadership, nothing was done when I had the 'not so good' teachers. I think the current principal would be more helpful. A big negative is that there are no after school extracurricular activities offered as many neighboring districts have.

I absolutely love this School. My daughter is learning Spanish in the first grade. There's a wonderful music program. Excellent teachers. The parents are very involved. I'm very impressed overall. The only problems i find with the School are the lunch program(ran by parents/pta) and of course, the taxes are ridiculously high.

This is a fantastic school. The academic programs include spanish in grade 1. The music and art program begins as early as kindergarten. There are many school trips to enrich the children as well as a high level of parent participation in all facets of the school.

I have a child in the first grade and let me tell you the taxes in this district are just out of sight! Think carefully before you buy a house here, the tax shock for the schools will defintely effect your decision. Besides that, the schools are ok, but just okay, run of the mill, nothing special you can't find just about anywhere else on L.I. at somewhat lower taxes. Nice suburban community, but nothing to write home about. New principal and lots of teacher turnover. The district itself is too small to attract the very best educational talent around.
