My two kids had a great experience at Big Flats Elementary School. All of their teachers were caring and very attentive to their needs. I was so impressed with the teachers and staff that I was lucky enough to get a job there. This is my fourth year here and I love it!

I am so glad I moved to another state, away from NY, especially Big Flats elementary school. Teachers and other school staff except principal LOVE to jump into conclusions about kids. They tend to diagnose kids with ADD, ADHD, and all other kinds disorders. Hello, you are not a doctor to do that, you are a teacher. Very bad at teaching; lazy; love to shove kids in resource rooms, where they tend to make kids lazy and not using their brains properly. Do not send kids to schools in Chemung County. I was also substitute teacher through these schools and it is so sad to watch what these so called teachers are doing to kids. If kids are coming from families where parents are divorce or they just have difficult life situation teacher DO NOT care about those kids. My heart was breaking when I so that. I am so mad at lazy NY (Chemung) teachers. Once again I AM SO SO GLAD I DO NOT LIVE and my kids DO NOT go to NY school ANYMORE.

My son moved from Gardner road to Big flats elementary in 2007 in the third grade. He was definitely nervous, not knowing anyone there. But thanks to his wonderful teacher, Ms Williams. She did an outstanding job and he really liked her. Towards the end of the school year he said that he was saddened not to have Ms. williams as his next teacher. We 9the parents) have met with her and she is indeed amazing. I feel that any child passing through third grade should have Ms. williams as their teacher. She made every aspect of work enjoyable for the kids. Keep it up!!!!!
