SInce we are not in the 70s anymore and most if not all of the teachers and principal that were there then are probably not there now, I will constructs review based on the current environment. My oldest son currently attends kindergarten and I have found the school staff to be very devoted to helping him learn and grow in a positive way. Miss White (Principal) is a constant presence at a lot of school functions and PTA meetings, and my sons teacher Mrs. Trinkwald is phenomenal, she has taught my son so much. She is a very caring teacher who puts do much effort and hardwork into her lesson plans and the kids daily schedule. I can't say enough good things about her and my son just loves her!!

I remember that under Principal William C. Ayers in the 1970s, bullying was not only tolerated but actively encouraged at John Pearl. And two teachers, Mrs. Altimyer and Mr. Nurnberger, assaulted students by pulling their hair and I mean *hard.* In Mrs. Benzinger's class in 1976, two students got into a fistfight in the classroom and she completely ignored it even though she was 100% aware it was occurring. She figured the kid "had it coming." It was someone she herself was incapable of "controlling." Does this sound like a place where a good education was being provided?
