I've been with this school since 2007. All three of my children attend this school. The environment at this school is very parent friendly. The teachers are exceptional. Each teacher is personally attuned to each child. Parents are involved in every step if the way. Administrative staff like the Principle Mr. Cintron is in my opinion the best Principle ever. Rain, shine, snow, he is always out in the front meeting and greeting students and parents. Assistant Principles are also on hand for everything. Children are secure and safe with the teachers until they are picked up. The education level is better than any other school. Teachers are aware of each child's strong and weak point and they work from there.

I have a daughter attending Pre-K and i absolutely love the school. The teachers as well as staff members are very pleasant. It feels as if they are more of a family than anything. I agree with the parent stating the principle is wonderful. He is in more ways than one. He takes time out of his schedule to meet and greet parents and addresses problems as soon as they occur. If i have my way, I have another child I am trying to get into this school. I highly reccomend this school for quality education.

I love this school. All three of my children go there and I am happy with their progress. The school is very involved in enriching the student's life with lots of different activities and teaching methods. It is a beautiful, bright and clean learning environment and we always feel welcomed. Mr. Cintron is an excellent principal, professional, fair, down to earth and approachable. He is doing a great job. If in search of a good school with great teachers and staff, I highly recommend P.S 214 in the Bronx.

I'm also not a parent, but i did go to this school some 15 yrs ago and I still think about all my teachers and staff and my classmates of course! I recommend this school 1000%. Very professional teachers and they are not only your teachers, they are also your friends. For always I will be greatfull to Mr. Lawrence, Mr. Escalante (RIP), Mr. Torrellas and each of you who made me what I am today. Sincerely Yours; Manuel Diaz: class of 7th grade in '86.

I am not a parent, but I did attend this school from the third to the eight grade. As a first year college student I truly believe that my experience at 214 is what molded me into an academically successful student. Each staff member from the principles to the school nurse helped to nurture and protect me. At this school education comes first and a student has no choice but to strive for excellence. Although I went to this school what seems like so long ago, many of the same staff members are still employed their. I would recommend this school to any parent who wants their child to have the opportunity to grow academically and personally.

This is a school that has loving, caring teachers, paraprofessionals, school aides etc. Not to mention a very sharp principal and four assistant principals. C.S. 124 the Lorraine Hansberry Academy has come a very long way. WIth this principal around and her family (staff) they will continue to strive for excellence.
