I was a student in this school from 2000 until 2008 , i came to this school in the first grade. The teachers are very nice and the dean and principle as well. when i graduated in 2007 , i noticed as a freshman in high school how much they care about us. They put a lot of pressure on us, but only to prepare us. The only thing i would change is the grades. They should create a separate level for the middle school because when we move from the library to the art room the little kids get terrorized so easily . i loved the experience here and now i am a student a Fordahm University in the bronx.

My son and daughter are in ps37 since 2008. We love the school and teachers. Everybody says hello to me smiling and makes me feel like home. My son s teacher calls me sometimes to say my son had a bad day or a good day. There are a lot of workshops for parents. I wish I could go to them but I have to work. There is early morning school for my son for extra help and it is good for me because I am a working mom and there is no one to take my child to school after 8 in the morning. There is a free after school here to. If I could change one thing is sometimes the office staff acts lazy or not interested in doing their jobs when you come for a letter or to see someone and they act like they don t see you but not all of them. And when I wanted to speak to an assistant principal she was rude to me when there was a situation with my daughter in the first grade. I solved the problem with the principal who understands. I still recommend this school because my child loves his teachers and I like the way my son and daughter are learning.

I have my 8 yr old daughter in this school and for the most part they are wonderful. However I wish they could organize the Parent Association a lot better..I went to 2 meetings and was soo dissapointed. Also I wish this school offered after-school care, to make it easier for working parents. I do love the principal and the rest of the staff..they are wonderful, but without the after-school I may have to find another school to put my child in.

My daughter is a student at this school. I find the atmosphere, teachers and upper administration to be very enthusiastic. However the very large problem this school has is it's organization. For instance, many parents had no clue what was going on the first day of school, myself included. Students were put into the wrong classes, there was so much shuffling going on with paperwork, etc. If P.S. 37 could work on better organization in the office it would run so much smoother.

my children have attended this school one year after its opening. I find some of the office staff should be rearranged, but the assisstant principle is always available for parents. teachers come and go. when changes are needed they happen.
