I like this school. The teachers are great (but not all of them) but sometimes they give way to many homework. My son gets stressed out with all of the homework. Also, i don't understand the point of the uniform so I think there should be no uniform that the kids should wear what they like as long as it is not inapprpriate. Finally, you guys need to keep the school more clean and i reccommend you should put air conditions in the school.

This school is the worst! the teachers, faculties, and staff do not communicate with the kids or the parents. It is unsafe, the kids are unruly, and there are no consequences for the kids who misbehave. I am very disappointed in this school and the staff. My son has been bullied, hurt in the eye, and spit in the face. And nothing was done. This school needs an over haul from the very top to the bottom..This school needs to be revamped! or closed!

I believe the school has come along way, and at first I had my doubts of letting my child attend the school. However, soon after meeting the principal Ms. Baran I learned new things. I love the communication they have with me regarding my very difficult child. Everyone needs second chances and I think this school does too.

I've been to this school and I had great memorys there. I've learned many things and been introduced to new things. I had a great time in 6-8th grade and enjoyed every second of it. Jr.high is the first step to the future and teaches you what you will expect in the future. I'm in High school now in sophmore year, but I'll still miss this school and all the great memorys I had there. It may not be the cleanest school but once you get to know the school and the staff and people , then you will start loving it like I did!

this school has low math and reading state test score.my son always had level 3 in both test and now he score level 2 on both test.teachers don't teach what they have to and they need tutoring services for kids in this school.that's why these is a failing school for the past years.

My son is in this building due to our over crowded schools. P.S. 119 has the first graders in this building. Just last week I had to take my son to a room in the basement of this school. I was totally disgusted by the behavior and foul language the J.H.S. kids were displaying. The cafeteria was filthy and trash all over the hallway. I feel their test scores are proof that this school is not at its full potential. I am so relieved my daughter made it to Maritime.

My kids and I all attended this school. My personal experience at JHS 125 was great. Apparently, my kids share my sentiments. As a parent, I was always kept informed of their progress. Always fine level of teaching, security never an issue and after school programs were seemingly always available. Nothing but fine results. Overall, a very good school in a seeminly very good area.

I.S 125 is a good school although is very crowded and not quite clean environment. The parent Association is very good at this school where there inform all parents regarding the academic programs they have and what parents can do to help to improve this school. There is not enough sports where children can participate.

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
