I love this school. The dumpsters have been removed (YAAHOO). This is a great school, there are many activities for the children( swimming, boy/girl scouts, sport teams,etc.). They are adding to the activities all the time trying to include students in all grades. This school does alot of parent and child involvment activities and workshops but you need to invest time and ask questions, attend any meeting- about schools in the district as well as the school your child attends. The school welcomes the parents to volunteer-with any time that they are available.
This school is fabulous, everyone cares alot about the students, I volunteer and always feel welcome. The school does need more volunteers. Mr. La Salle is always available and has even paid for students who dont have money for trips out of his own pocket. There are alot of things going on for the kids to do and parents as well.
I fell that Mr Lasalle isn't doing a great job at the school. Kids get hurt and it takes them more than a day to have a report written. The staff wich they have in the yard for recreation are not doing their job. They stand in a corner gossiping. They need to get their priorities intact. Kids are being hurt in the yard each and every day. Especially does dumpsters, they should be removed from where our children play. Many children have been hurt already.
