My son is currently in the fourth grade at P.S. 198. When he first started, the school was a S.U.R.R. school. I knew that if I worked hard, my son would do well despite this. Since then, my son has been doing exceptionally well and has scored a Level 4 in math in a few points shy of a Level 4 in ELA. His teachers have all been excellent. They have high expectations of my child and I would definitely recommend this school. One of the most important challenges that may hinder a childs' education is the lack of parental support. Children love to be praised and shown support. This has made a tremendous difference in my son and it shows. The principal is a strong leader and encourages the children to succeed. Overall, the school is doing well despite various outside issues the students bring with them to school.
