My son is discriminated and retaliated in this school. This school fails every year.....there isnt sports or choir nothing til high school....and the teachers are unethical and they put hands on children in that school and fail to protect them
my son father when to this school like 30 yrs ago that is why i chose for my son to follow his dad foot step, but i real like the way this school is they need to give P.S.195 a chance i feel the fouse to much on P.S.196 this is for P.S. 195 keep up the good work.
The teachers in this school are excellent. They go out of their way to help each child reach their potential. Unfortunately this is undermined by a principal who thinks he knows best in every situation. It is his way or the highway as they say. There are no fun activities for the children even though they are only second, third. and fourth grade. We can only hope that a change in administration allows these wonderful teachers to do what they do best - teach! This is a wonderful school with great kids and caring teachers. Too bad a bad administration is ruining it.
This school is great at perparing your child to take the required city and state standardized tests, however they are seriously lacking in the Arts department. During my son's 3 years there he had very little to no art or music education. Sports and extracurricular activites were also lacking. It seems as thought his entire learning was to perpare him to be a great test taker.
