The Mount, academically, is a great place. The staff is great and well qualified. The 22 acre campus is very nice and the facilities are clean. But I can t call the Mount a great school, mainly because of the students. For students who care, the Mount can defiantly model boys into young men. The incoming students have a "ghetto" mentality and act too immature for a catholic environment; sophomores also act the same way. By junior year, majority of the students are settled-down. I am currently a sophomore and I went to a public school prior to Mount and I sadly witness the same nonsense every day. It s only the 4th month of the school year and I m already getting transfer papers ready. MSM isn t what it was before. If you are on a budget and you want to send your child to a good school, I recommend Spellman and my transfer choice, Stepinac.

I have had 2 sons Graduate from the MOUNT, both are doing well in society. Currently I have a grandson in the JHS getting a challenging curriculum in a diverse student body . The Professsional staff is caring both in the classroom & in appearence. The Athletic Dept. is excellent, giving each student an opportunity to learn team work and discipline (which are necessary in life later on) in the sport of their choice. Overall any parent or guardian that wants to invest in a promising young man, I would highly recommend Mount St. Michael Academy. One only has to look at the alternatives to realize Mount St. Michael is second to none.

This school has proven to be one of the worst academic institutions I have ever been a part of. Ever since I first walked on campus my education has been shot. Both metaphorically and literally, reffering to the terribule neighborhood surroubding the sdchool. as u can c by mi teribul typin im obViozly not gting the edumacashino i pay so much guap for. dont send yo lil nuiggas here. totes mcgotes not worth the doe. coed schools to da casket.

My son attended the JHS and I think that Mount is an excellent school. Yes every now and then you might experience rough patches, but that life. As a whole this is an excellent school. My son opted to attend another HS and till this day he has regrets. He wished he made the decision to stay at Mount. Attend the JHS and HS - Mount prepares and motivates you to be college bound.

My son is a sophomore at Mt. St. Michaels Academy and so far I AM NOT IMPRESSED. This school is way too expensive for the nonsense that goes on, starting with their teachers who address the students in derogatory manor and when brought to the attention of the Dean it was brushed off as my son making up stories and should strongly consider counseling for my son. I am seriously considering taking my son out of this school.

My son started at MSM in Sept. and it has been a great experience for both of us. He has transitioned from Public School and I was worried about his Theology class, but his teacher is amazing, she has really taught him a lot and he has done excellent in her class. As a parent I find that the school staff is really supportive and kind. I am very happy and grateful that we are part of the MSM family.

My son is a senior and enjoyed his years with Mount. Most of the professors were very good to him. He gets along with his classmates and coaches.

I have taught at Mt St Michael for 7 years. I love what I teach, the Catholic faith, and I love my students who are full of intelligence and energy, and I love the family feel of the school!

The boys at Mount St. Michael Academy share a very strong bond, both academically and in sports. My son has taken Honors and AP programs at MSM, and his teachers, guidance counselor, and baseball coaches have been of great help to him in achieving the highest level of success.

The family atmosphere. The boys may come alone, but leave with a family behind them. It's amazing what loyalty and friendships are created at the Mount!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
