I believe this school is doing an excellent job on educating our youth and growing adults. Teachers are involved with parents keeping communication open at all times. Curriculum is excellent and very involved

The reviews on this site are very old. And either way that principal that was in charge before has left and was a very sweet lady. Although she yelled, which is part of disciplinary action, cared for every student and knew each by name. Then last year we had a new different principal after so many years with the one mentioned above. She was a whole lot not focused with her job and it seemed as though she didn't care about the students. The students felt it. After all, she was never in her office, always at a so-called meeting. However, things have changed. Now we have a brand new principal and he is very kind. He is always around, trying to get to know the students. he has also given the school a new image. He's given it back the great environment we had with the first principal. The school is truly amazing. I am now an 8th grader and trust me. You most definitely WANT your child coming here.

My daughter has been going to this school since Pre-k and is now in 8th grade. She thinks that the school is a good place to learn. The teachers are like friends and do not give too much homework. Her only complaint is the lack of activities in the school, which always happens in Catholic schools. Overall, the school is a great.

worst school ever, my son had attened this school from 2nd grade, he had asked me to put him in another school, I did'nt listen to him, he always came home complaining that the teachers and the principle yelled all day, I finally removed my son to a new school, his grades improved dramatically, am pround to say he's in 1st honors. I asked him what changed, he said , He love all his new teachers and school.

the worst school ever i should have never brought my child here and principle has a bigg temper

Posted January 25, 2008

The teachers do not actually teach the students and yell at them. My child comes home upset everyday saying that she has too much homework and that recess was canceled. The lunch is terrible and the principal is short tempered. This is my daughter's last year here because I am taking her out of this school.

I thought I was sending my child to a good school I am very disappointed with the way they run the school. Is true their not teaching the student but i think the problem is that they take to many kids. Imagen 35-40 students per class, that s too much for the teacher to handle. I register my child in this school because of the reputation it had but now it s going down the drain. Another thing I notice if you are not a member of the church they treat you different to the ones that are members. The principle is a nice lady but she does have her momemt of a bad temper. They try to make you think you child has A.D.D or some problem, but they are kids and there are ones that are worse but are not being looked at as the kids of the non-members.

OLR is a small and family friendly school. The principal greets the children at the door every morning. Staff is small and many have multiple roles at the school which makes it safe and family friendly. The academics are above average. I would only ask that the principal play a more active role when parents have questions and/or complaints. Otherwise this is an excellent school.

My son has been attending OLR for the past 3yrs. The principal, teachers and staff all work together and respond quickly when called. This school focuses on long-term issues; therefore they work hard in providing a good education for the children and the task they face in the coming years. I highly recommend this school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
