I.S. 254 is a great school with great extra curricular activities such as animation and photography and the best part is that it is all free. As a student, i feel comfortable in this type of enviornment even though that there may be fights. I feel that I.S. 254 really sticks to its theme of technology and that all teachers only want their students to succeed while having a nice enviornment to learn. Teachers really go out of their way to ensure success. Therefore, i believe that I.S. 254 is a very good school and that students may feel like teachers really push them but it is only for their own good.

This school is horrible. First of all the teachers are lazy and barely assign homework.. My son got punched in the stomach on his second day of school. The incident was never reported even though it happened in the classroom. I approched the staff about it, and they made it seem its normal middle school behavior. Therefore I had to report the situation to the city and 311. The principal seem detracted as to what was going on in school, plus this schools exam rates are the worst in the city. Finally after numerous complains they changed my sons class. If you can please stay away from this dump

MS 254 has great teachers and strong leadership like Mr. Hemans and Ms. Boston. MS 254 offers challenging academic curriculum which students can excel and shrive. It is one of the better Middle Schools in the Bronx.

while other students may say their school is the best school over, im going to say that my school, I.S. 254, is great.there are amazing teachers like Ms. Rivera, Ms. Robinson, Mr. Mboup and Ms. Santiago, that are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their students succeed and follow the right path in life.the curriculum provided is not difficult, but yet it's not easy. the school is just so great, and I'm so glad to be a part of the fighting bulldog's family.

The school just added elective courses this year which has made my child much happier. They have active soccer and basketball programs. Parents are somewhat involved, but we need much more parental involvement. Some of the teachers are VERY good.
