if i could give this school a million and one stars i would. this school is a very secluded and quiet school. it isnt the over populated typical high school where kids are cutting and smoking in the rest rooms this school actually has security and staff who make sure that your child is doing what it is suppose to. also if your child is failing they never ignore it. this school has multiple afterschool, night school and even saturday programs year round where your child can come in and get more help on what they are struggling on. this school is just like a big family everyone is always helping and looking out for each others best interest. the staff is also very helpful and friendly. if your child loves art and wants to go to a smaller school this is DEFINITELY the best choice. if i could go for another year i would. :) my brother is also very in love with this school and it is only his first year

My child prior to attending BHSVA came from a MS of 1500+ students and never failed a class, then attended a HS freshman year with 1100+ students and never failed a class. Due to circumstances, he is now attending BHSVA of maybe 400 students total which I thought would be great, more 1 on 1 with 4 AP's, unheard of and his first semester he failed 4 out 6 classes. Please tell me what is wrong with this picture? You do have staff members that go that extra mile once you kick and scream and the principal and parent coordinator address concerns immediately and are very nuturing, caring and understanding.
