I am very pleased with the quality of education that my daughter received at the Academy of Mt. St. Ursula. Most of the leaders and faculty genuinely cared about my daughter as an individual and they worked collaboratively to ensure that my daughter succeeded in the areas where she may have struggled. They contacted me to address matters that required my attention and I appreciate the time that they committed to communicate and meet with me regarding the challenges that my daughter experienced. I rate the Academy a four instead of a five for two reasons: 1) One member of the school s leadership was unreasonable and unjust 2) During my daughter s senior year, the guidance counselor(s) failed to provide one-on-one assistance with the college application process, When I contacted them with questions, they gave me the impression that my phone call was a burden to them
My daughter, Jessica graduated from Mount St. Ursula in 2008. She spent four wonderful years at this school. She is now a mature, successful young lady. Jessica currently attends Georgia Institute of Technology.
It is my second home! The school community is great!
I'm currently in my freshman year at MSU and I must say, it's a wonderful school. We girls are like sisters and it's a warm and most of all, peaceful environment to learn and study. At MSU, the teachers are very respectful and provide the students with a quality education, in which women grow up to be leaders. I have heard other people say how they've sent their daughter's to MSU and how successful they are today. I know one girl who graduated from MSU who currently works in the White House, another one has an internship in the football league, and another is currently a chief cadet leader at the West Point military academy. The girls all are at the top of their potential. They are what you call LEADERS.
The most important time of my formative years were spent at the Academy of Mount Saint Ursula. I was constantly encouraged and inspired to be a strong, critical thinker who would never think twice about going beyond the reaches of the Bronx and NYC. The Ursuline tradition, ideals and values are still evident in my life when I take the time to be involved in community work, find myself in leadership positions, and challenge a society that does not put others first. I hope that where ever I settle and have a family, I will be able to provide for my daughters the same quality education that I received. Thank you, Grazie, Gracias, Merci Beaucoup, MSU!
I am an alumna of the school. I am proud of the strong academics and I feel that the confidence I gained there set me up for success in college and career. And I made lifelong friends.
As an alumna, I feel the Mt St Ursula provided me with a great foundation for college & grad school (I even used my Calculus 'cheat sheets' in undergrad). I am still very involved & feel that to this day, they provide students with a quality education.
I learned more in public school than I did at Academy of Mt. Ursula. The school is over rated, a total waste of money.
I'm a proud student of MSU, I'm a senior right now and I couldn't imagine going to another highschool The teachers are always there for us when we need them, we're a close family. We have a great 'Junior Freshman Sister' relationship, I still keep in touch with my Junior sister, we still go out to dinner and lunch. Coming from a small family MSU gave me an older sister, she is my role model. The friendships I made here I know are going to last for a life time. We're not perfect girls, we argue, we laugh, we cry, we make mistakes; but we're all girls so emotions run high. MSU teachers are there for us, they treat us like family. Looking back at my highschool years, I can't imagine having gone to a different school. I know for a fact that MSU will always be my home.
I am a proud alumnae of MSU. When you send your daughter there you can be assured that she will be supported and respected. The education she will receive is top notch and the friendships she will make will last forever. I would not trade my years at the Mount for anything and urge you to check it out. I work full-time and have a family but still make it my business to give time to MSU. When you visit you'll see why.
