My son attends this school and it is such a disappointment. The students are out of control, the principal looks overworked even at 8:05, and the kids watch more movies than a movie reviewer. He started mid-year because we moved and this school was closer to my job. However, he definitely will not be attending next year. Please do not send your children to their school. I will admit they are trying but NOT AT MY CHILD'S expense.... I'm so grateful he is only in kindergarten.

So far just in prek for a couple of weeks, but I don't have a very good impression of the school. They are trying, there is the dual language spanish program for prek and new enrichment clubs everyday. However, her class is a bit unruly and there is not that much participation from the parents. Hopefully someday the school will be doing better.

My kids where students there in 2008. They were just starting out. My oldest child did not receive any of the services that she needed, but I must say they did try but just not hard enough to help her. She is no in 1st grade in a new school and she is doing a lot better. Thank god I did the change.I tried but as a parent I had to what was best for my kids.

I attended this school as a child many years ago and it was a great school. My daughter is currently attending and I although there is a new principal and things seem to be looking up, I feel that some of the teachers are not so great. Some of the staff/teachers are in need of monthly training workshops in my opinion. They could learn how to deal with children better.

My son is in the graduating class of 2009, I must say that 46 has gone through some drastic changes, being a graduate of the school myself I know first hand. But I must say that with the new principal I believe 46 will turn around for the better. And I actually just registered my daughter for their pre k program. Lets go 46.

I have two children that currently attend the school P.S. 46. I find the school to be very unogranized. I also find that the school has a high tolerance of fighting, cursing, and bullying. I don't see the principal standing up and taking action against those children who inflict harm on others. Some teachers there do seem to care whether the children learn I really hope for change!

Contrary to popular belief most of the teachers at the school do push the children and work hard. I know first hand that the principal and/or 'higher ups' dictate what should and should not be taught instead of allowing experienced teachers to do what works. Fortunately for me when my children were there a few years ago they had excellent teachers and performed well.

The school is not that great, from appearance the lunchroom, to the school year it may appear that school is in school but I found most of the teachers at this school does not push hard enough for some student and the principle, Ms. Hill does not conduct herself properly. She is know to sharing families confidental matters with staff. Not a loving school which all children should be in.

I was once a student of this school. At that time the school had very good teachers as well as a very great principle. The parents of the students were also involved. Since then the school has changed over many times. The quality of the teachers as well as the parent involvment as decreased. This can be seen by actually watching the digits of the standerized test scores. This school is in my neighborhood but I would not want my five year old daughter to attend this school.
