The teachers curse at you they don't even care if the princeable is walking down the hall or their BOSS.They give you a zero when you did something.they give you a zero just because you spelled something wrong.there is a lot of fights in both academies the child curse at you to one boy ended up in the hospital cause pf a fight around October 2012 do not go to this school MS.2 is better p.s if you are out of uniform in the upper academy they will put u in the low academy.if you re wearing brown bots they will take it off you and you will walk with socks for the rest of the day.

I don't know what the other parents are talking about. But know in 2011 there is APEX( for 6 and 7th graders), Global Leadership( 8th graders) and Britou Moore for the gifted and talented. This school is doing wonderful in my opinion. It has it's ups and downs but however Ms 61 is pulling it together. I am a 6th grade student in Britou Moore and I am having a wonderful time. The teachers are very demanding and love seeing you do your best. They make students think " outside the box " so they can prepare for the future. REMEMBER: IS NOT THE SCHOOL IT'S THE KIDS

this better security patrol in hallway too many students are able to roam the hallway. Teachers need to be more accountable for students performing poorly.

uuum i go to this school and i'm in 8th grade this school i wonderful and i would recommend it to anyone going into 6th grade. The school might have it's up's and down with parents and students but overall and the teachers and students carry themselves as they are adults. We are all well educated and every academy LAPAT, CAT, and MAST which is mines are all geting taught at the same level and we are all smart and each academy is different and everything but overall the school is good and i would recommend it. One love.

This school has been on the rise in previous years since the Britu Moore Academy was established, however the MAST Academy which houses the Britu Moore Academy is the only thing preventing the school from going under or even closing. There is not enough emphasis placed on the CAT and LAPAT Academies in the school. The school is not parent friendly. They don't support the Parent Association and dismiss parents and their concerns. This is not a socially healthy place for children and on the academic level it is far below expectations for the average child.

At first glance everything seems great but only to realize it was just my son's academy that was doing well. This is the MAST Academy which houses the Britou Moore Academy, the Gifted Program. This Program is on target and gives students what they need to be successful. The MAST academy does relatively well but does not function at the high standard as the Britou Moore. The other two Academies are not on the same level. Students are not held in high esteem and are therefore not doing well. There are few students doing extremely well in the CAT and LAPAT Academies, and they really don't have quality programs. There is no music program except steel pan afterschool, gym once a week, and there is a basketball team and Art on occasions. Parental involvement is very low and not encouraged by the Principal. Parents don't even have their own room .

I love this school especially the Britou Moore Academy and Ms. Morman. This school is the best and I fully recommend this school.

I've found since my daughter entered this school she has gone from Star Academy to the B Moore Academy. Her report card has come a long way and it has made me so proud.
