I haven't exactly started going here yet. I literally just got the acceptance letter a few hours ago. From what everyone else here is saying and from when I first went to visit this school, I think it seems good enough. I REALLY hope I enjoy my time here!
As a 2009 graduate from Benjamin Banneker Academy, I must say that my teachers and taking advantage of the AP courses offered has prepared me well for college. Now a junior pursing my BA degree I often look back on what I learned in high school and I must say, this school really is great all around.
I am a Freshman this year. I thought these reviews were lies, but when I entered Banneker I realized that they were true. The teachers really care and it just feels like one big family. The seniors are not mean to younger students. Everybody basically get along.
I love this school so far. I am enjoying myself here and i look forward to seeing what else the school has to offer.
My Daughter Is now A senior in This School ,and she has really enjoyed her time, the teachers have such a "one on one" with parents and students about their academics for the most part. They also encourage the students to strive for whatever they feel will make them successful in the future. I love it
I love this school! My daughter started this year and has adapted very well. All of the teachers and staff are engaged and show great concern for the childrens learning. In addition, their are a great deal of extracurriculer activities. Parents are involved and the principal is really excellent!
This is my first year at this school and I love it because the atmosphere is great, and once you get to know people, it's like a family. I can't say all because I don't know all teachers, but most really care and will work with you to make sure you have clarification and understanding on a particular topic. We are a community, so if one fails, we all fail.
This is my daughters first year at the school and for a freshman has made such a transition from middle school to high school without any problems. The teachers are pretty much responsive to the parents inquiries and the work seems to be on par. Overall, it's a great school with a great atmosphere.
its aterrible school i dont know what these people are talking about, the kids are extremely snobby and the teachers dont care at all , the pricipal never shows up, those kids were paid to write that all
I go to this school and I would have to say that teachers in this school really seem to care. This school is more of a family rather than a school. We have our differences but in the end we always manage to work things out
