Freedom Academy High School was a great school my Daughter attend there for 4 years she Graduated with honors now she attend college. Thanks to the staff from Freedoom the teachers and Principal were very grate they even give up ther lunch time to help the student, The parent P.T.A. was not that strong due to poor turn out from the parents.but we were able to give all the student a gift certificate at graduations. so sad this school were closed.
From what i have heard your school is pretty good besides the bullying of a child. However im entering the eight grade and im looking for high schools. Im looking at you to apply for. And keep up the good work.
My daughter said the students pick on her everyday calls her a nerd and geek andd the teachers don't explain the classwork/homework . So I think that school should get closed down
I have been attending freedom academy for 1 year now and its a pretty good school. This school is a more of a academic school because it has certain classes like law classes robotics and more. i think this is a really good school for me.
it does not meet the needs of a normal high school my mind is limited i want to be able to widen my horizons but its to late now i have to wait for college.
The school has committed teachers. I am disappointed that the parents are not taking an active role in the education of their children. The parent turn out was poor at our P.T.A. meeting. Only with strong parent body can we get this school off the ground. How can we help the teachers teach in the parents are not interested..
The principal and assistant . principal at Freedom Academy are great. I never had any problems getting my phone calls answered. The school has great teachers, one guidance counselor who is great. The dress code is strict with the uniform. However, the school doesn't live up to the expectations that I was placed in the HS book. I had my child select this school based on what was written in the book. There are no music, art, sports or other extracurricular activities. It is shared space with FEGS. It doesn't have a high school feel to it at all. I am taking my child out of the school because she needs a more challenging environment.
There are not much academic programs. The level of parent involvement are very low. From my experience, parents and students are very frustated. Parents issues and concerns are never solved therefore; parents are getting less involved because they feel it is a waste of their time. I am very disappointed with this school. The information advertised in the Public High School book is not correct!
My daughter has been at this school for 3 wks now, so far the small class sizes, strict mandatory uniform, dedicated teachers and everyday homework that was mandated in the school's policy has been lived up to. I am satisfied so far.
I am less than satisfied with Freedom Academy, moreso because of the administration than anything else. The principal is an educrat and does not respond or feel the need to respond to parents inquiries or their needs or issues. She is fantastic at stalling and making you wait until you give up, since you have a job and a life to lead. Being in the school is what she does so she is content with causing you to wait, particularly when she doesn't want to talk to you anyway. She believes Freedom Academy is HER school and she runs it like that. Involved parents are a nuisance to her. Children that have an opinion is an annoyance to her and she will do all in her power to have your child removed if they do not conform to her vision, which means shut up. And the parents too.
